Candle Safety
We at Candle Villa want you to enjoy our candles (and other candles for that
matter), but would like you to observe the following safety tips:
- Always burn candles within sight.
- Keep all candles out of reach of children, and keep away from pets.
- Never burn candle on, under or near anything that could catch fire or that is
heat sensitive.
- Keep wicks properly centered and trimmed.
- Trim your candle wicks to no more that 1/4 inch at all times to prevent
excessive flames or smoke.
- Never let wick trimmings fall into wax.
- For best performance, burn until wax melts evenly across container not to
exceed 4 hours.
- Discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Never move a hot candle, wait until it cools.
- Never burn a candle unattended or near a draft.
- Never fall asleep while a candle is burning.
- Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from a glass
holder. It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent
use.
- Place burning candles at least three inches apart from one another. This is
to make sure they don't melt one another, or create their own drafts that will
cause the candles to burn improperly.
- Never extinguish candles with water. The water can cause
the hot wax to splatter and might cause a glass container to break.
- Never use a candle as a night light.
Failure to follow these candle burning instructions could result in fire
hazard or injury. Please enjoy, and BE SAFE! Please see the entire list of
Candle Safety Tips from the National Candle Association.
